To ensure we can provide exceptional service to all those who visit The CCD, we are currently seeking a Host Manager to join our Events team at The Convention Centre Dublin in a full-time permanent basis.

Job requirements

Key Objective

To manage and oversee The CCD Host Team, ensuring client expectations and financial targets for allocated events are achieved. To provide administrative and operational support for the Host Team.

 

 Key Responsibilities

  • Roster The Host Team within event package limitations and budget

  • Manage Hosts Team while working events

  • Initial liaison point between client and other departments

  • Responsible for monitoring quality of service delivery during events

  • Manage client satisfaction by identifying areas to add value by the Host Team to the client experience

  • Support Event Managers and Head of Events in the planning process to schedule host team as needed.

  • Create staffing plans for larger events

  • Responsible for ordering of uniforms for new Hosts.

  • Responsible for raising PO’s for agency staff

  • Responsible for monthly forecasting and actual cost submission for all allocated events

  • Responsible for managing The CCD Hosts function on individual events, including Host allocation and rostering

  • Quarterly training sessions with the host team in conjunction with the Senior Event Manager

  • Escalation of disciplinary issues to Senior Event Manager in a timely fashion

  • Ensure that the host pool is at a functioning level and arrange recruitment days with the People & Culture team as needed

  • Responsible for onboarding new Hosts

  • Compliance with all policies and SOPs of The CCD

  • Any other projects as requested by Head of Events or Senior Event Manager

Duties and responsibilities will vary from time to time and the post holder will be expected to perform other such duties that reasonably comparable; adhere to Company health, safety and environmental policies; maintain a safe working environment and ensure your work activities are safe.

Person Specification

  • Event administration experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in events 

  • Experience in managing people at a team lead or supervisor level

  • Time management and organisational skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Team player
