To ensure we can provide exceptional service to all those who visit The CCD, we are currently seeking a Corporate Sales Account Manager to join our Sales team at The Convention Centre Dublin in a fulltime permanent basis.

Person Specification

  • Dedicated Sales Professional: Minimum 2-3 years of proven full-cycle sales experience within the event or hospitality industry is an advantage, but not essential.

  • Results-Driven: Demonstrated success in maximising sales performance and consistently achieving individual targets.

  • Influential Communicator: Expert negotiation and influencing skills to secure and grow business.

  • Proactive & Organised: Highly self-motivated, proactive, and possesses strong time-management and organisational abilities to manage a dynamic pipeline.

  • Collaborative & Client-Focused: A strong team player with an unwavering commitment to delivering 5* customer service and building lasting relationships.

  • Engaging & Innovative: Exceptional interpersonal skills combined with an innovative and creative approach to sales generation.

Job requirements

Key Objective

To identify and convert new business opportunities within the international and domestic corporate conference market for The Convention Centre Dublin. Proactive role focused on seeking out and driving growth across new business and existing client accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hybrid role, responsible for identification of prospective clients predominantly within the international corporate market, with an element of domestic focus too. 

  • While primarily focus will be on the corporate market, the role holder may be required to support other markets or shift weight of focus per business needs.

  • Mapping and developing out key relationships across client ecosystem, leading to qualified brief generation and sale.

  • Development of long-term client relationships through proactive sales activities.

  • Undertake full and thorough research to establish potential market sector growth areas for new business.

  • Preparation of detailed and creative presentation documentation showing how The CCD can help clients achieve event goals.

  • Engaging in client meetings, both locally and abroad, to drive the business of The CCD.

  • Influencing client decisions, through effective negotiation and excellent customer focus, to win new business to achieve targets. Targets subject to business budget need year on year.

  • Negotiation of contractual terms with clients and contract management.

  • Accurately recording and documenting client activity and forecasting information in Momentus (CRM) to allow for business planning, and in accordance with agreed processes.

  • Comply with the Policies and Standard Operating Procedures of The CCD.

  • Undertake any other duties / projects as reasonably requested by line manager.

Duties and responsibilities will vary from time to time and the post holder will be expected to perform other such duties that are reasonably comparable; adhere to Company health, safety and environmental policies; maintain a safe working environment and ensure your work activities are safe.
